According to NESN.com, the New York Giants appear willing to give Julius Peppers money that would rival what Albert Haynesworth received from the Washington Redskins only one season ago.For those who don't know, that's over $40 million in guaranteed money and about $15 million per season -- and that's a conservative estimate.
Peppers is looking to command huge money, and the Giants apparently appear willing to make him the second $100 million man on defense in only two seasons.
There's some questions as to whether or not he's worth it, and I'm of the thinking that he's not, so it's going to be very interesting. There are people who believe he won't get anything near what Haynesworth got last season, and others think he's going to leave Haynesworth in the poor-house, comparatively speaking.
I honestly don't have a clue, so I'll be paying just as close attention as all of you. I think he'll head to the Washington Redskins or the Chicago Bears, but that's just a gut feeling based on what I've been hearing throughout the week.
