Karlos Dansby Signs With the Miami Dolphins

As expected, Karlos Dansby has signed with the Miami Dolphins. The deal is reported to be a five-year deal worth $43 million and $23 million in guaranteed money.

Dansby was looking for about $30 million in guarantees, but it's close enough to what he was asking and Miami is clearly where he wanted to end up. He did an interview with ESPN at about 12:30 this morning and made it very obvious he wanted an offer he couldn't refuse.

This gives the Dolphins some more speed at linebacker that they so desperately needed last season. They're an overall good defense, but speed is what kills in the NFL and there lack of just that is what lost them a lot of games.

The Cardinals were reportedly in the mix for Dansby up until the final hour, but the Dolphins stepped up and flat-out offered more money than the Cardinals were willing to give.
