LenDale White Wants to Be Traded

LenDale White is speaking out about his playing time, and he is very clear about what he wants to happen.

White is not very fond of the second-round tender placed on him by the Titans, because even he knows that there is not a team in the NFL that will be willing to part with a second round pick for him, but he wants playing time.

White knows that won't happen in Tennessee. "I backed up greatness," White said as he talked about Chris Johnson's 2,000-yard season in 2009. "But now that’s over. It is time for me to start somewhere. I want to be a starter in the NFL, not a backup."

You can expect the Titans to get a few phone calls about White from some running back needy teams, and he could help them.

White is only 25, and still has some of his best years ahead of him. We all remember he dropped weight in the off-season in preparation for 2009.

He is a bruising back, but does still possess the necessary speed for a running back, and if the Titans asking price is not too high, will be a steal for a team this off-season.

It will be very wise for him to get out of Tennessee now. It is clear they have no intentions of using him, as you can see from his mere 64 carries in all of 2009. He does have the second-round tender, and the Titans do not show very much urgency to move him at this time.
