The reports as per a league source are that the previously unnamed team is the Detroit Lions.
The Detroit Lions could certainly use a guy like Stallworth, despite him being out of the league for the entire 2009 season due to suspension.
Calvin Johnson is certainly a mainstay in the Lions offense for years to come, but once you go further than him down the depth chart, you become less impressed.
Johnson was able to muster 67 catches for 984 yards in a down season for him. He missed two games due to injury and was bothered by that same injury for half of the season. The next highest for a receiver is 35 receptions. (Kevin Smith had 41 as a running back)
Stallworth, would certainly provide a much needed spark for a slow, but still young and developing Lions offense. Matthew Stafford's reads would become a lot less difficult with Stallworth and Johnson lined up opposite of each other.
Both provide the threat of the deep ball, and will stretch the field and allow the rest of the receivers, and tight end Brandon Pettigrew, to roam around with single coverage.
