Donte' Stallworth To Workout for Unknown Team Wednesday

We reported that Donte' Stallworth had been released by the Cleveland Browns yesterday after spending one season actually on the field and being suspended last season.

Stallworth is wasting no time finding a new job according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus who told the Boston Globe on Tuesday that his client has a workout on Wednesday with an unnamed team.

Rosenhaus is "very pleased with the amount of teams interested," and could have a contract in place "in the next couple weeks at the latest."

Since Stallworth was released by the Browns, he is free to sign with any team as soon as possible. The March 5 free agency period is for players who are under contract for 2009 and their contracts expire on that date.

Stallworth should garner interest from teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, and Washington Redskins. All of those teams could certainly use a good second option that can still stretch the field.
