Week 15 News and Notes

I guess maybe the biggest news story here is one that shouldn't be a story at all, but the media will over-hype and over-analyze anything that has to do with Brett Favre.

To the story. It was reported that, with a 7-6 lead over the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter of last nights game, Brad Childress attempted to inform Favre that he would be replaced.

Favre decided that wasn't going to happen and kept himself in the game. Despite the loss, it was a good move. I don't care who you are, you don't take out a future Hall Of Fame quarterback when you still have the lead.

Moving on.

The Cowboys are reportedly colse to signing free agent kicker, and former Redskin, Sean Suisham this week.

Suisham was cut by the Redskins two weeks ago after missing a extra point length field goal to ice the Saints, who went on to win in overtime due to the miss.

The Cowboys cut Nick Folk after missing a kick to ice yes, again the Saints, but the Cowboys were able to hold on this time. Suisham is 18-21 on the year.

Now onto some more gloom news.

The Titans are reporting that all-pro linebacker, Keith Bulluck, will be placed on IR with a torn ACL.

This is a huge blow to the legs (pun intended) of the streaking Titans who have ripped off seven of their last eight games (lone loss to the undefeated Colts) to put them in the thick of the log jam that is the AFC playoff race.

As if this wasn't bad enough, they may be without Bulluck's partner in crime, David Thornton. That would be a loss of 167 tackles, three interceptions, and a forced fumble.

That should be it for the bigger news following Week 15. Did anyone see Tommy Kelly show the Broncos what he thought of them before Jamarcus Russell led the Raiders on a game-winning drive?
