NFL Power Rankings: Week 14

Here are the Power Rankings following play in Week 14. The power rankings are derived using a unique formula putting emphasis on all facets of the game with certain categories having more impact on your team than other categories. Division games are important, as well as winning on the road.

The Formula = (Winning % X .31) + (Average Points For X .04) + (Net Points X .06) + (Home Win % X .06) + (Road Win % X .09) + (Division Win % X .13) + (Win % Last 5 X .24) + (Yards For X .02) + ((100-yards Against) X .05)

1. New Orleans Saints - 92.094

Once again here they are. For the sixth straight week, the Saints find themselves atop the NFL Spin Zone power rankings. I'm still not 100% sold on this team though, and I really think they will falter in the playoffs, 16-0 or not. Tough test against the Cowboys this Saturday night.

2. Indianapolis Colts - 88.442

Apparently the Colts forgot Brandon Marshall played for the Broncos because they sure didn't cover him. It's not even like they tried to hide it, because at one point, the Broncos threw six consecutive passes to Marshall. Indy still pulled out the win, and this is the week I have them losing. Call me a guy who roots for the underdog, but the Jags pull it out.

3. Minnesota Vikings - 77.785

After a brief slip-up at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals, and after receiving a weeks worth of "Is this the Brett Favre annual collapse?" shots, Brett Favre and the Vikings delivered a beating to one of the AFC's finest teams in Cincinnati. They're a scary team, and I know I wouldn't want my team playing them come playoff time.

4. San Diego Chargers - 73.551

There's really no questioning the Chargers at this point. The annual slow start, and now they're amongst the tops in the league. The talent level is incredible with this team, and could cause problems for any team in the AFC, including the Colts. The Chargers are my AFC Superbowl representative at this point.

5. Green Bay Packers - 70.418

This is a team that slowly keeps creeping their way up the ladder in the power rankings. A one time .500 team (4-4), they've ripped off five straight and seemingly have sured up some offensive line problems. They're beginning to become one of those annual dangerous wildcard teams.

6. Philadelphia Eagles - 64.453

7. Cincinnati Bengals - 59.446

8. Baltimore Ravens - 50.012

9. New England Patriots - 49.084

10. Arizona Cardinals - 48.561

11. Denver Broncos - 47.097

12. Miami Dolphins - 47.051

15. San Francisco 49ers - 41.199

16. New York Giants - 41.000

17. Jacksonville Jaguars - 38.264

18. Tennessee Titans - 37.860

19. Houston Texans - 27.622

20. Carolina Panthers - 27.092

21. Seattle Seahawks - 24.462

22. Pittsburgh Steelers - 23.939

23. Atlanta Falcons - 22.874

24. Buffalo Bills - 22.380
