NFL Power Rankings: Week 15

Here are the Power Rankings following play in Week 15. The power rankings are derived using a unique formula putting emphasis on all facets of the game with certain categories having more impact on your team than other categories. Division games are important, as well as winning on the road.

The Formula = (Winning % X .31) + (Average Points For X .04) + (Net Points X .06) + (Home Win % X .06) + (Road Win % X .09) + (Division Win % X .13) + (Win % Last 5 X .24) + (Yards For X .02) + ((100-yards Against) X .05)

1. Indianapolis Colts - 88.655

For the first time in about six weeks, we have a new number one here at NFL Spin Zone, but will that last long? The Colts are the lone undefeated team remaining in the NFL, but as I see it, this won't be lasting too long. Can the Jets pull off the upset?

2. New Orleans Saints - 83.308

They were almost handed another win when Nick Folk missed, essentially, the game-icing kick last Saturday night. While the Saints are widely considered to be the best team in the NFL, I don't share that same mind set. This is a team that, in my honest opinion, will falter come January.

3. San Diego Chargers - 74.261

The Chargers are coming out of an emotional game with the Cincinnati Bengals after the tragic loss of Chris Henry. They may be the most dangerous team in the NFL, and are playing some of the best football in the league right now. The Colts are going to the playoffs, but may not get to the superbowl. The Chargers have their number.

4. Philadelphia Eagles - 71.661

I can remember back to the loss to the Cowboys mid-season and the typical "Negadelphia" fans had a fork in this team. Never doubt an Andy Reid team. The Eagles have ripped off five straight games and are the number two scoring offense in the NFL. Oh, and by the way, they are only now getting Brian Westbrook and Kevin Curtis back. Along with Jeremy Maclin after his absence. Scary.

5. Minnesota Vikings - 68.520

Once considered, even by me, to be the best all-around team in the NFL has lost two of it's last three games. Both to Conference opponents, opening the door for the Philadelphia Eagles to potentially take the second seed. Brett Favre looks like he might be on his annual late season collapse. That does not bode well for Minnesota.

6. Green Bay Packers - 62.342

7. New England Patriots - 57.103

8. Baltimore Ravens - 53.002

9. Cincinnati Bengals - 51.967

10. Dallas Cowboys - 51.767

17. Houston Texans - 34.793

18. San Francisco 49ers - 33.956

19. Atlanta Falcons - 31.141

20. Carolina Panthers - 30.486

21. Jacksonville Jaguars - 30.174

22. Pittsburgh Steelers - 30.050
