There are just some people you work hard never to be compared to. Every sport has "that" guy and it is like a death sentence when the comparisons start to "that" player.On the NFL Playbook show Super Bowl-winning Coach Brian Billick said that Cutler's erratic play and prickly demeanor is starting to remind him of Jeff George. Ouch!
Jeff George had all world talent but every game he made one or two throws that just left you scratching your head. George was also pegged as a guy that was just not a leader. Billick went on to highlight the two near perfect TD passes Cutler made but then came the passes that made zero sense.
The erratic play combined with the locker room issues that started as soon as Cutler arrived paint a Jeff George like picture that has to be scary for Bears Nation.
The Bears gave up the farm for Cutler and no one doubts the talent but this situation in Chicago keeps getting worse. If Cutler does not have the chops to lead this team to a super bowl the Bears have set themselves back by at least two years.
