Vikings Offense Is Carving Up Baltimore "D"

As of right now, Brett Favre and the Minnesota offense is absolutely carving up the Baltimore defense. They're moving the ball at will, and the Baltimore defense looks absolutely flat-footed and befuddled.

They're not stopping Adrian Peterson, and they're not covering the receivers worth a damn. Favre is placing the ball wherever he'd like, and the Ravens defense looks soft.

Most thought the defense would drop off a little bit because of the loss of Rex Ryan to New York, but none expected how soft the defense would look.

Ryan brought an attacking mentality and the thought that his defense was the absolute best in the league, something that we're now seeing with the defense in New York. The new coordinator in Baltimore, Greg Mattison, likes to play more coverage and not blitz as much, but that's what this defense is built upon.

These guys like to attack the quarterback and they like to run blitz, but it seems as though they won't get much of a chance to do so under Mattison.

This could be trouble for the Ravens as the season progresses.
