Jim Zorn Will Be Gone During the Bye

After their game against the Kansas City Chiefs today, the Washington Redskins have one more game before their bye week, which is against the Philadelphia Eagles.

What does this mean? It means Jim Zorn has about two weeks to take pictures, soak up the perks of being an NFL head coach, and check on the lease on his house because he won't be staying in the D.C. area for much longer.

As of a few seconds ago, the Redskins are losing to the Chiefs, a team that has won only two of their last 30 games. That's right, they're two of 30.

The 'Skins have a new quarterback in Todd Collins after Zorn decided to bench Jason Campbell, but this stinks of desperation on Zorn's part. Everyone knows that Campbell is the only chance this team has of doing anything this year, and is the future of this franchise. Collins is only in right now because Zorn wants a win to perhaps prolong his career as the 'Skins head coach.

Even if his plan works and the 'Skins pull this game out, it won't be enough to save his job. Danny Snyder has made up his mind, and he's decided that he'd rather throw all the money that he must at a guy like Mike Shanahan rather than allow Zorn to work out the kinks.

As I'm writing this, Todd Collins just fumbled the exchange. These 'Skins are done, and so is their head coach.
