Schefter: Crabtree to Sit Out the Entire 2009 Season

Just a few moments ago on ESPN's NFL Countdown, Adam Schefter reported that it appears as though Michael Crabtree has every intention of sitting out the entire 2009 season and re-entering the NFL draft next season.

So here at NFL Spin Zone, we don't like to sugarcoat things. In fact, the entire point of the creation of this site was to give the news, rumors, and analysis of everything going on without pulling any punches. Let's keep that alive right now.

Michael Crabtree, you're an idiot.

Honestly, there's no other way of saying it.

Who does this kid think he is that he's going to sit out the entire season and think he'll get drafted in the top ten next year? Listen buddy, if you just barely made it into the top ten in this year's draft after getting Heisman consideration, you've got no shot of making it into the top ten with nothing to show for the past year.

Why would a team want to draft a kid who actually has the nerve to think he's above the NFL and everyone in it by sitting out an entire year just so he can get paid? He obviously is more interested in getting a check rather than playing professional football, and that's just not a guy that an NFL team is going to want.

Mark it down right now. If Crabtree actually goes through with this insane plan, he will fall into the late second, or early third round.

Bo Jackson sat out an entire year and re-entered the NFL draft (not because he was, well, a douchebag but so he could pursure a baseball career) and he went from the first overall pick to the 183rd pick. It goes without saying that Bo Jackson may have been the best athlete of all time right behind Jim Thorpe, and this kid thinks he's going to do better than Bo?

Bo knows football, Bo knows baseball, and apparently Michael Crabtree doesn't know a damn thing and needs a foot in his ass.
