What Does the Antonio Bryant Signing Mean for Terrell Owens?

Adam Schefter of ESPN has reported that Antonio Bryant has signed a four-year, $28 million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. Does this stop the Terrell Owens to Cincinnati talks?

Owens was in Cincinnati last night, and had dinner with Head Coach Marvin Lewis. Owens was supposed to meet with higher officials in the Bengals organization including Team Owner, Mike Brown on Wednesday morning.

Things must have not gone very well, because the team went out and signed Antonio Bryant, not T.O.

The signing of Bryant should spell the end of the Ochocinco and Owens dream team that many Bengals fans (and admit it, NFL fans too) wanted to see, but I'm not sure this is the last we'll hear of Terrell Owens with the Black and Orange stripes.

Chad Ochocinco has been lobbying for, and even taking it as far as to guarantee, that Owens would be his teammate in Cincinnati. One thing to remember about Chad, is that when he says something, no matter how far fetched it is, he always backs it.

He even started his own news network, OCNN, and will frequently invite anybody who reads his twitter to join him at various restaurants around the country and treats them to lunch or dinner.

While it seems unlikely when you look at a Bengals roster that now includes Chad Ochocinco, Antonio Bryant and Andre Caldwell as the top three receivers, you can not rule out anything 100% in today's NFL.

However, I'm sorry Chad, but Mr. Owens will need to find a job elsewhere. Antonio Bryant is set to make $7 million a year on average, and you do not give that type of money to a guy to play in the slot, and before you think it, Terrell Owens will not be a slot wide receiver.
