Hank Baskett Will Not Clear Waivers

Because he is not a "vested veteran," Hank Baskett does not immediately become a free agent. He must first clear the waiver wire before being able to sign with whichever team he so chooses. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending upon his stance), he will not get the chance to clear waivers with so many receiver-needy teams out there.

Teams like the Chiefs, Vikings, Bears, Ravens, Browns, and Titans could all put in a claim for the right to Baskett. He's a good wide receiver who can help in the redzone, and is a big-play threat, believe it or not. In fact, Baskett holds an NFL record as the only player in league history to have more than one touchdown reception of 80 yards or more.

Now all Baskett has to do is hope that Kendra doesn't leave him while he's temporarily unemployed.

Then he has to hope that the Lions don't pick him up.
