Why the Packers Will Have the Last Laugh

Packers Nation is faced with the bitter reality that they got "Favre'd" not once, but twice.

The Packers offensive line woes were exploited by a superior Vikings defense. The Vikings are a very good football team and they have made a lot of offensive lines look bad this year.

The one thing the Pack have that the Vikings don't is long term stability at the QB position. Aaron Rodgers, despite a sub-par line has shown he is an elite QB and he is only going to get better.

Favre is having a great year thus far but as Packer Nation knows Favre is only one bad decision/throw away from being the goat that sinks the Vikings superbowl hopes.

That is not the scary part.

No matter how Minnesota's season ends now Minnesota has to wait in limbo to see what Brett will do. If he does retire (for good) now you are back to some below average options at QB.

Favre was brought to Minnesota by Childress in a last ditch effort to save his job and to make a one year run at a superbowl.

If they win it all Favre is gone.

Which Leaves the Pack and Aaron Rodgers in a great position to dominate that division until Minnesota can either buy or find a QB.
