Giant's Pierce Out Indefinitely

As if the four-game losing streak wasn't a big enough blow to the fallen New York Giants, they've been dealt another blow and now are being kicked while they're down.

Giants pro-bowl middle linebacker, Antonio Pierce has been diagnose with a bulging disc in his neck this afternoon after an MRI, and has been ruled out indefinitely.

Pierce has been a huge contributor to this Giants defense, one that has been struggling as of late, but will now have to deal with the loss of one of its best players.

The Giants were off to a 5-0 start and seemed to be in the driver's seat of the NFC East, before they were run off the road, and are still skidding at 0-4 heading into this week's game against a very good Atlanta team.

A very good Atlanta team that includes a stellar rush attack which could cause gigantic problems for this defense.

If this was the week the Giants were going to stop their skid, they needed all things to go their way, but without their defensive leader, it's going to be tough.

Pierce has started all nine games for the Giants where he has 55 tackles and 1 sack.
