UFL's Florida Tuckers Think They Could Beat Bucs

The main focus of the UFL is to bring you great, competitive football, it appears as though the players of the Florida Tuskers firmly believe that they are truly bringing a high-level of football.

I mean, it's a tough argument to be made, but it's definitely one that can be made with how bad the Buccaneers have been playing this season.

Stemming from an interview with the St. Petersburg Times, Tusker's Head Coach, and former NFL Head Coach Jim Haslett, has said that the talent level in the two leagues may not be the same, that his team is "pretty close."

Reporters then focused their questions on the players of the Florida-based UFL team.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Michael Pittman, was quoted as saying that "some guys would probably tell you they think that (we could beat the Bucs)."

It was then that former Bronco running back, Tatum Bell, proclaimed that "I am one of those guys."

Pittman was hesitant to take it that far and left his claims at the point that the Tusker's would give the Bucs a competitive game, and then went on to praise the depth of the Tusker's.

The Tusker's are currently 3-0 in the inaugural UFL season, and have dominated opponents outscoring them 98-35 on the season. Their closest game thus far this season was a 14-point victory over the Loco's.

The Tuskers squad is full of former NFL players who have done some good things in the National Football League.

Players include leading passer of the UFL Brooks Bollinger, Tatum Bell, Michael Pittman, Ricky Manning Jr, leading tackler in the UFL Odell Thurman, amongst others.

We will never know the truth of whether or not the Tuskers could hold their own against the Bucs, or even have a chance at victory, it is clear that they are leagues above the rest of the UFL teams.
