Titans Are Only 0-2 Team With a Shot

With the 0-1 Miami Dolphins, who are playing tonight, excluded from the list, there are a total of eight winless teams right now. Tampa Bay, St. Louis, Kansas City, Jacksonville, Detroit, Cleveland, Carolina, and Tennessee all stand at the dreaded 0-2 mark.

Most would consider an 0-2 hole nearly impossible to overcome, and for most of the teams on that list, it is. The Titans have the best shot, but even for a good team like Tennessee it will be incredibly difficult.

Their upcoming schedule includes a rolling New York Jets team, followed by two divisional games (Colts and Jaguars), the Patriots, the Jags again, and a 49ers team playing inspired football under head coach Mike Singletary.

The Titans have the ability to win each and every one of these games, but it will be difficult. They play in perhaps the most talented division in all of football, but certainly in the AFC, and if the Texans and Colts get on a roll, it will be a tall mountain to climb.

Some may think that a team like the Chiefs would have the best chance of rebounding, but because their team is so bad at this point even playing in a bad division cannot help them.

The Titans will have to find their defense again, but if they do they could surprise the league in the same way their division rival (the Colts) did last year.
