Cards' Safety Adrian Wilson Facing Fine, Game Suspension

As if losing to division-rival San Francisco wasn't bad enough for the defending NFC Champions, they got news today that All-Pro Safety Adrian Wilson will most likely earn himself a one-game suspension.

Wilson, who was warned last season that, due to previous unsportsmanlike infractions, that his next would take a hit on his wallet to the tune of $50,000 and cost him a game.

Well, next time came yesterday afternoon when Wilson attempted a tackle on San Francisco Tight End Vernon Davis a bit too high for the liking of the NFL and Roger Goodell.

The play is still being replayed and is under review by NFL officials. Really, I don't understand how many times you need to look at a play to say, "Hey, that looks illegal."

(Apparently even looking at it a million times doesn't help Donovan McNabb and the Eagles.)

The Cardinals will receive the NFL's ultimate decision on the play by Tuesday, and when more details are learned, we will report them.
