With the release of Lito Sheppard coming after a failed one-year experiment, Rex Ryan will need another starting cornerback for his defense (he actually has a defensive coordinator, but come on).
Cromartie's work ethic and love for the game has been questioned a lot over the past couple seasons, but if there's anyone who feels he can make the best out of Cromartie's unquestioned raw, physical talent, it's Ryan.
Ryan is a loud-mouth himself, so dealing with players like that shouldn't be a problem. Ryan is a guy who can be the friend of the players, but at the same time they respect him enough that they will not cross him.
He demands respect in the locker room, and could be the guy to reel in Cromartie.
We love Ryan around here, so I'd like to see it go down. Cromartie is too much of a physical specimen to not succeed in this league, and Ryan is too good a coach to allow him to fail. It's a match made in heaven, and I expect it to go down -- especially since no one else really seems interested in the cornerback.
