Dwight Freeney Set to Play in Super Bowl

With Super Bowl XLIV set to kick-off in just under 24 hours, the Colts have received the best news they could have. You know, barring that the Saints have forfeited.

As per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Colts playmaking pass rusher, Dwight Freeney, will be able to play in tomorrow's big game "barring any setbacks".

He hasn't practiced at all in the past two weeks, and is set to test out the ankle during pre-game warm-ups tomorrow evening.

I know that if I'm the Colts, Dwight Freeney is told to sit in his room and find some nice movies to watch until warm-ups. Don't move. Anything to help get that ankle a little bit better come gametime.

He will still be limited to clear passing downs, but a limited Dwight Freeney is better than no Dwight Freeney.

This Saints offense is capable of tremendous things, and the only way to slow them down is with a solid pass rush. Freeney is the best pass rusher the Colts have, and their chances to win increase dramatically when he is on the field. They also decrease if he's not.
