Baltimore Ravens Unlikely to Trade for Disgruntled Brandon Marshall

There were several rumors floating around this past week that if the Denver Broncos were to try and seek a trade partner for wide receiver Brandon Marshall, that the most obvious, and likely suitor, would be the Baltimore Ravens.

While the Ravens could certainly use a receiver of Marshall's magnitude with Derrick Mason un-retiring last off-season to play, and a lack of depth otherwise, Baltimore Ravens beat writer, Mike Preston, believes it would be a surprising move if the Ravens were to take a chance on the young receiver.

Preston reports that Baltimore Ravens owner, Steve Bisciotti, is willing to take his chances on first-time offenders, but will find it much more difficult to spend the almost certain first round draft pick price tag it will take to jar Marshall from Denver when taking into account all the negatives.

Many players have had some kind of problems in this league from disputes with coaches to off-field problems, but Marshall has been in far too many to take a chance on.

It's not like Marshall has only had problems with current head coach, Josh McDaniels and could get a slide, but he has had similar disagreements with former top dog (current Washington Redskin head coach), Mike Shanahan.

Neither of these coaches are synonymous with any kind of player-coach conflict.

While you cannot doubt the talents of Marshall on the field, it's the off the field antics that may hinder his chances to get out of Denver.
