Seven Linemen in Eight Total Confirmed Players Attending Draft

While quarterbacks like Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, and Jimmy Clausen are currently in the wind, eight other players have accepted invitations to attend the draft and stand next to commissioner Roger Goodell once their name is called.

According to Jason La Canfora via NFL.com, Ndamukong Suh, Trent Williams, Gerald McCoy, Derrick Morgan, Russell Okung, Dan Williams, Jared Odrick, and Eric Berry have all accepted an invite to the Radio City Music Hall on April 22nd.

Of those eight, the only non-lineman is Eric Berry, the safety out of Tennessee. The NFL clearly expects the first round to be dominated by linemen on either side of the ball and are heading away from the uncomfortable Brady Quinn/Aaron Rodgers type of moment by inviting mostly "skilled position" players.

Suh, Trent Williams, McCoy, Morgan, Okung, and Berry all figure to be top 10-15 picks, but inviting Dan Williams and Jared Odrick, two guys who could go at the end of the first round, seems like a peculiar choice.

Maybe we could have more uncomfortable green-room moments... just with bigger players who will slowly become more and more agitated. Hopefully Odrick and Williams throw a chair or two.
