Adam "Pacman" Jones Gets First Workout Since '08 Season

I'm not sure how, but we missed this little nugget earlier in the day. Adam Schefter is reporting that Adam "Pacman" Jones may be given the privilege of re-entering the NFL after a workout with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.

The Bengals are just full of second chances as they've also offered a contract to former Jacksonville Jaguars' first round pick Matt Jones.

Jones, if signed, would come in as only the third or fourth corner behind Leon Hall and Jonathan Joseph, but it could be where he belongs. In Tennessee, and then in Dallas, Jones played on the outside against the elite receivers and was only an average corner.

He is, however, a supreme athlete and one hell of a punt returner.

Covering third and fourth receivers may be where he belongs, along with punt return duties. In that role he could help a team like the Bengals immensely.

He's stayed out of trouble and, most importantly, out of the headlines since his last run-in with the law back in 2008, but I'm just not sure that it means he's changed his ways. At least with guys like Matt Jones, he's only hurting himself.

Pacman was accused of some heinous crimes, one of which will leave a man paralyzed for the rest of his life, and he may not deserve this second third fourth fifth sixth fifteenth chance given to him.
