The NFC Could Go North

The Packers kept themselves in the race for the NFC Wildcard with a decisive victory over the improving Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

The Pack sits at 7-4 but they have the Eagles (6-4) and Giants (6-5) in the rear view mirror so they cannot afford any bad Sundays by any stretch. The offensive line is showing some hints of stability which is the key for this team to be competitive every Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings Machine continues to roll. The Vikings are at a point where they can consider resting a few key people for the playoff run.

The Bears are a mess. Cutler has his own issues and he does not have any reliable weapons. Bears Nation should turn their attention to the draft and free agency because they have some talent but they need more.

The Detroit Lions are slowly turning themselves around. Matthew Stafford is impressive and his continued growth only means good things for the Lions.

The Bigger issue for Detroit is the long term viability of this team in a dying city. In this writer’s humble opinion I believe it is a race between the Lions and the Buffalo Bills on which team will end up in Toronto.
