Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Cutler

Chicago fans have to be wondering what the deal is with Jay Cutler.

One week he looks fantastic and the next week, not so much -- to put it mildly. In his defense Chicago is lacking receiving weapons although they have some up-and-comers.

Devin Hester is getting better but his growth as a wideout continues. They are getting results with smoke and mirrors which partially explains why the results are so inconsistent.

Cutler had the 6'5, 230 pound Brandon Marshall in Denver, who caught over 100 balls the past two seasons, so their is going to be a bit of a drop off when you compare Marshall to what Cutler has now in Chicago.

We certainly will not be shocked if the Bears try to get a real No. 1 wide receiver either via free agency or the draft. Until then the Bears will continue to be a team that lunges from week to week living or dying based upon split personalities of one Jay Cutler.
