Jamal Lewis to Retire After 2009 Season

Apparently it's not just frustration talking as Jamal Lewis announces that he will be retiring following the 2009 season.

Many, myself included, thought he'd do that last offseason.

But, with the arrival of a new head coach with some wins under his belt, Lewis probably felt as though the Browns could go somewhere and perhaps compete this year.

Well, he was dead wrong.

As we've all had the displeasure of watching, the Cleveland Browns are in complete and total disarray. They can't decide on a quarterback, the head coach has lost the locker room at the half-way point of the season, and the owner couldn't make a competent hire to save his life.

It's bad in Cleveland, and Lewis has no intention of staying on this sinking ship.

At this point, it doesn't matter how you rearrange the chairs on the deck of the Titanic, the ship is heading to the bottom of the ocean anyway.
